The Passive Escape

So I last posted about my new glasses, and with this post it is time to say something:

I am a Tokio Hotel fan. Not as much as I was a year ago. But I’m still a fan, I just don’t like being a fan on-line.

It all happened last year at the EMAs. There was a huge thing between Tokio Hotel fans, and Rickrollers. Then there was huge thing between TH fans and fans of The Jonas Brothers. I have come to hate the majority of both.

I think the final straw came, when Tom hit that stalker. It’s not the fat that it happened, it’s the fact that I then commented on the news that both sides were wrong. The fact is, those stalkers were out of control, but when Tom lost control and hit one of them, he gave the what the wanted and just made it worse.

But I got replies saying that I wasn’t a true fan because I wasnt standing by them through the ordeal! They’re all a bunch of immature 13-15 years olds, and I’ve met some really nice fans, but I’m not going to put myself through having to deal with mindless girls like that.

Anyway, the huge coincidence about my glasses… Read the rest of this entry »

{November 7, 2009}   New Glasses

So I’ve just got totally new glasses. They’re completely different from my old Roxy glasses. They were fitting for summer, because they reminded me of the beach and sea, with their green waviness. These remind me of staying in and reading, so they’re good for the oncoming winter. I know, there’s so much psychology in it for me. ;)

These are my old ones

And these are my new ones:

{November 2, 2009}   Work Experience and Glasses

So today I started my work experience, working in the pharmacy and medical section of the local drugstore. I was feeling rather pessimistic about it, suddenly thinking that I won’t actually learn that much about being a pharmacist as I’m not actually allowed to go ‘where the magic happens’ and handle the prescriptions.

But needless to say, I think that I’ve still learnt quite a bit, and after all the stocking of the shelves I know my way around the medicine section like the back of my hand ;)

It sounds sad, but I didn’t thoroughly enjoy all my breaks. There was nothing to do but sit in the staff room drinking tea and reading the Argos catalogue they randomly had on the table. It was much more interesting and relaxing to be putting out the products.

There were of course some low points, like the fact that I have to also stock the condom section. And I see worried couples scurry in, grab a pregnancy test, and scurry back out. There was also a guy who (I think) told me off for having a confused look on my face when he asked for a product that I didn’t know and couldn’t fully understand because of his thick accent. But ahwell..

I’m also getting new glasses… Read the rest of this entry »

{November 1, 2009}   My Two Pairs of Sneakers

I don’t think I’ve ever owned more than one pair of trainers. Although, I prefer the term sneakers. My friend who I shall call Eve says that sneakers are converse. But I think that trainers are sport shoes, and sneakers are simply the other kind of ‘trainers’. The type of shoe that you can just slip on.

Now however, I own two pairs. Even though I know there are plenty of people who own more than one pair, and probably think I’m weird, but I feel as though I’m being decadent!

Trainers

My only two pairs of sneakers

I’m guessing you can tell which pair are the new ones. But would you call them sneakers?

I’m also trying to work out what the Japanese writing on the back of the new one’s mean:

The Back of My New Trainers

What does this writing mean? :P

I’ll be googling it later…
