Here’s what I think…I don’t know about the overall opinions from other people, but I definately prefer this to the first movie.

For one, there was an actual plot. The first one was exactly the same throughout. It was basically the same throughout; Sarah being chased by the Terminator. You just think, huh? Where’s the build up in the story? Where’s the climax?

So this one was a definate improvement in terms of plot, there was more of a variation of problems that the characters faced.

John is seriously annoying though, I don’t know exactly why, he just really gets on your grits!

It was also a bit weird, about how the new terminator can change their shape, and their clothes however it likes. This was constantly shown, and yet, when it arrives after time travel it has to get clothes! Seriously? Why doesn’t it just morph clothes on! A tad bit unnessecary.

Overall, there was more gore, and there were also parts which had a certain comedy to them, so I did enjoy this movie.

Next stop: the third movie!

There’s just so much to choose from. There are so many careers that a lot of people haven’t heard of before. Heck, we even have to accept that I’m preparing for jobs that don’t even exist yet! My father was learning about the jobs that were prominent when he was young, he never thought he’d grow up to work with computers, they were the things of dreams. So what lies in my future, that I can’t even imagine yet?

Science seems like a good starting point to build a career, that or business, but I’ve never been a very good communicator.I just don’t want to finish my education and stop needing to learn.

In science, you are continually learning about new discoveries being made each day. You get to talk to other people about your findings, and their own discoveries.

But it’s such a wide field, it literally incorporates everything around us, it’s such a tangled web to make sense of.

I have no idea which direction to turn, so at the moment I’ve signed up for higher maths and higher physics. I like physics, to discover how to produce energy cheaply from nuclear fusion would be amazing. I’ll also do standard chemistry, I’ve heard univeristies like it, because it focuses on the essence of what we are made up of, and how things react.

I just always end up thinking about that show, The Big Bang Theory. From the episodes I’ve seen, those guys just get to learn about all kinds of cool stuff, and then muck about with physics at work. If only reality was as sweet.

It was a picture of Davina McCall looking as crazy as normal, with a fake kind of toned body. As in, her head looked as though it had been photoshopped onto a muscular body. Meh, this is one of those magazines which cost about 45p.

Underneath, was a text bubble, with “How I Stay Trim To Satisy My Man”. There drops my jaw!

What kind of message were they trying to portray there hm? That her husband will only be totally satisfied with her if she has the ‘perfect’ body? That she needs to look good to satisfy her man, that other things like interesting conversations and a sense of humour are lower in the priorities?

All I’m imagining is a woman looking at this text bubble and thinking, “I’m not that toned, will I not get a guy then? I need to change”. It also concievably plants an idea into the head of men that a toned woman is the only right kind of woman.

Booo, to that magazine.

I honestly love all kinds of music. I’ve been getting into gothic metal (Evanescence, Within Temptation) over the past year, and I’ve also really liked stuff like Linkin Park, System of a Down etc. Nu Metal, I think the genre is?

Now, I’m starting to like British rap. There’s just something that I absolutely love about the London accent that rappers like Dizzee Rascal have. I pick up that accent really easily, I end up using it when I meet my second cousin.. I don’t really like any other rap, except for Eminem. His songs are actually entertaining y’know? You don’t have to be really into rap to enjoy them. Click more, for the music videos etc.

Tinchy Stryder’s You’re not alone (in Sugar they had an article about where they went to the filming (or atleast the beginning) of this music video, he sounds really sweet). There’s just something about how he says on in you keep holding on that I love

I was in a rather boring ‘learning the ropes’ lesson in CLAIT + on Excel. I use excel alot for my budgets, and I used to do CLAIT + excersices in Year 8 for excel.

So I just ended up doing my old trick of turning my screen slightly away from the teacher, and having an excel document open whilst I surfed the web.

I go on the site I-Am-Bored a lot, and they had this post, finding ‘why won’t my parakeet eat my diarrhea’. So I found that, though for me it only works by typing ‘why won’t my pa’ into the search bar.

I managed to spend the half of the lesson (the first half was a guitar lesson and the excel explanation) googling well used beginning os phrases, eg. Why does, Why have I, Why should I etc. It’s so fun, I’m addicted!

But the film was a bit weird. It didn’t portray the English weather very well, except for one rainy scene. But it’s meant to be rainy because it’s a sad scene. So it doesn’t count.

It was weird hearing all of the ‘Ace Gang’ lingo. It’s like how the write in magazines. That kind of ‘over the top girly’ language is fine on paper, but it just sounds cheesy when you say it. So the acting seemed a bit weird because of it. It almost felt like it belonged int he 90s, even though I was very sheltered during that decade so I don’t have a proper idea about what it was like. Then again, aren’t the books based on Louise Rennison’s actual diaries?

Putting all that aside, the guys in it were FIT.

I also recognised some of the actors. Like, the Dad (who was meant to hurt is foot from a geyser or something?) is that guy on QI. Robbie was in the TV series that played every afternoon for what felt like forever, called Feather Boy. I’m so certain he played the bully. I’ll check it out on Youtube, and Wikipedia.

Overall, I didn’t like the film that much. You don’t notice it as much in the books, but Georgia is a pretty big b*tch. Seriously, when I was 14 I knew better then that. And somehow everyone had huge colourful houses? Though they all seemed to go to the Private School. It was kind of like the ideal seaside town.

So this lunchtime I was in the media room, furiously searching the internet for help with this Grade 5 Music Theory. It was kind of manic. My friend Chantelle was going around turning people’s computers off for the beginning (as someone of our ‘mature’ age does). I was just sat there chatting with this guy called Jack. Here’s the general (not direct quotes) transcript of what happened: (Starting with Jack)

“So, are you planning on going to the prom?”

“Errrr, I’m not sure, only if I have someone to go with, otherwise I won’t bother, it’s just that-”

“Well, do you want to go to the prom with me?”

“Yeah That would be cool”

And that, is how it happened. Not the smoothest. But the best asking out I’ve ever had (though we’re technically not going out, at the moment it’s just a prom thing).

I’ve just been talking with my friend on the old Facebook, and apparently he was ogling at me.

It’s just a bit confusing, he wasn’t too chatty on the Facebook chat. But we’ve got martial arts tomorrow so I can always hang out then, see what’s happening.

Even though this blog is pretty much about me, my life, and my ramblings. This post just makes me feel a tad bit obsessed. *confused look*

I’ve already had a ‘functional appliance’, which was one of those huge metal things that somehow manages to fit in you mouth. Somehow Orthodontists have found whatever power Mary Poppins has over that bag of hers. However they did it, they fixed my over-bite.

And now I’m allowed to have train track braces. Just to properly straighten them up. This is why I love the NHS, and why I can’t understand the reasons for Republicans hating on such an idea. My teeth are pretty straight, they’re nothing like that classic image of teeth growing out in every other direction. Not like ‘The Big Book of British Teeth’ that appeared in an episode of The Simpsons once. But they could be straighter.

So the pros are:

• Really, really straight teeth
• It’s FREE (I ♥ NHS)
• Having good teeth makes your ‘bite’ better, which makes for better teeth
• My friends (one of whom has had braces) said I should. Plus my Grandma

And the cons are:

• Sore teeth, the general discomfort of braces
• Having to always wear a night retainer afterwards
• When I was 9 I had a skateboarding accident which hurt one of my front teeth. There’s a possibility that having braces might do something bad to it? (Very basic vocabulary there)

I hate decisions like these, but at the moment I’m more inclined to saying yes to braces. What do you think?

So I’ve spent the last few days totally stressing. It didn’t help that my Dad popped over to remind me to do my Maths tuition homework, I was like, “I’ll get to it! I’ve got bigger fish to fry here!”. And then I saw a picture of a friend of mine from a few years ago, she had cuts on her arms. So I ended up just sitting at my desk sobbing.

I felt kind of guilty. I’ve tried to keep in contact with her, and it felt like I hadn’t tried hard enough if I didn’t know the full extent of what had been happening in her life in these short 3 last years.

I haven’t had to deal with something like this, or have been given so much of a say into it, but it’s becoming time to think about my next school, College! …

We had a talk during out assembly about a small college which is with a normal school. It’s located in a village outside of the small city I live in.

It seemed pretty nice, with a very good pass rate. It’s also specialist in Maths, Science and Computing, so it has the best facilities for that. Pretty good, as I really want to be a scientist or something.

But.. something just made me feel like it would be kind of boring, inflexibly, and hard to get to because it’s not in the city.

I think I’ll just stick to the main city college, it’s right in the middle of town. That’s best for me, because that’s the area that I live in.

It seems more flexible as well. Like, I’ll be able to just walk into town for the lessons that I need, and when I need to escape from home to study. There’ll be more people there as well, more people to meet (even though I’m crap at being social), and more extra curricular opportunities.

The next step is to think about what to study.. and for that I’ll need a Connexions appointment.
